Then there's that commercial about restless leg syndrome where the side effects of the remedy include excessive sexual desire and compulsive gambling. Is someone pulling somebody's leg here?

[glow=red,2,300]Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love; Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, opening to the sun above. Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; drive the dark of doubt away; Giver of immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day![/glow]
So go the opening lyrics of the Christian Hymn, Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee with music by Ludwig von Beethoven and lyrics by Henry van Drake. It has always been one of my favorite hymns.
As a matter of fact, I just heard it in a television commercial for MANWICH sloppy Joe's sauce. The words went "Manwich, Manwich, we adore thee!" I couldn't believe it. Here the ad men were, equating a sandwich mix with God himself.
Now, do you suppose that, if the song were a Muslim one, the ad men would've dared spoof it in their commercial? Not on your life (Or theirs.) It just seems that, to them, only Christians are open to derision and mockery. Mock anyone else though and you will be labeled a bigot and politically incorrect. So, just what is wrong with this picture? You tell me.

Well, the Christian hymn goes: Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee." 'Thee', meaning God Almighty. The Hunt's tv commercial goes "Manwich, Manwich we adore Thee", meaning that they equate their Sloppy Joe's sandwich mix with God himself.

That´s going too far, I think, to use God and religion to peddle your goods. I wonder what they think about that commercial in the bible belt...
