"Close Encounters of the Third Kind"! ;D Just finished watching it,I watch it every so often and it is a good Sci-Fi flick! Saw it on the big screen when it first came out in 1977! As usual another winner for Spielberg! TED COLE....aka....Cole_blooded

Solar Crisis
supposedly one of the worst sci-fi movie ever made starring tim matheson, peter boyle, and charlton heston.

GUNGA DIN (1939), with Cary Grant, Victor McLaughlin and Douglas Fairbanks Jr. This British in India war film (shot at Long Pine, CA) should be on your 'must see' list. Although filmed in black and white, the behind the scenes home movies featurette was shot in color.

Remember the one where Curly is a Confederate spy and paints half his uniform blue and the other half grey, so he can walk between the lines un molested?
How about the one where Curly is a waiter at a posh party and offers canopies to the guests? ( Canned peas, served on saltines.)
SPREAD OUT!

Neff, speaking of Curly did you see the one where the 3 of them won a salon in Mexico and they thought they had won a saloon! What takes place in that salon in Mexico is hilarious and check out Curly! ;D Among their best is the one out in the jungle and Shemp is in this one!The funniest clip ever of the Stooges in this episode involves a multi armed Buddah that slaps the sheet out of them! One bows down to pray and two arms of the Buddah graps him by the ears and the other sets of arms smack/slap away! ;D TED COLE....aka....Cole_blooded

It's not in my dvd player right now (I'm at work), but I recently purchased and my latest viewing was Casino Royale. Excellent. It will be interesting to see where the new series will go.

As a kid, my folks didn't take us to too many movies. Of John Wayne's films, I think I only got to see "The Green Berets" (1967) and "True Grit" (1971) at the theatres. "TG" was a drive in release and I saw it with a buddy when I was about 12. I'm sorry I didn't get to see The Duke more on the big screen. Some small, aged theatre needs to run a marathon of his flicks, here in Houston, so that I can have the opportunity. I'll bet it will draw a huge crowd and a nice profit. Somebody call Batjac! Now that I notice, I haven't seen any of the small dollar theatres around anymore. Maybe they are all gone now.
