A new pope was picked today! After only a day, the cardinals and St. Peter's have picked a new pope. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the favorite, was chosen, and he shall be taking the name Pope Benedict XVI. I wish the new pope luck, and pray that he can adequately follow in the footsteps of the late John Paul II. www.mtv.com/news/articles/1500384/20050419/index.jhtml?headlines=true

I heard that he can speak 8 languages fluently and has a good working knowledge of several more.
As a bit of trivia, he served in the Wehrmacht (German Army) in WWII and he hated the Nazi's as he was forced to join the Hitler youth as a young boy.
As a Roman Catholic my self, i believe he will make a great Pope and i wish him all the best.
