Hey, did you notice the cannon, in that last photo, with Jocko? It's double-trail. I thought that all of the Waynamo cannon were single-trail! Where is this gun's location, I wonder?

Back in 1966, I wrote to the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce with a request to supply me with as much information on the Alamo and San Antonio as $5.00 would buy. In reply, I received an envelope full of good stuff, including the latest San Antonio Visitor's Guide. Well, in the guide were these two advertizements about Alamo Village. Theretofore, I had never even known it existed! Needless to say, I was pretty excited about one day visiting this magical place where 'history comes alive'. Seven years later, I finally made the sojourn and I've been going back, ever since.

Reenactor Larry Grimsley stands beside one of the two guns seen over the main gate in THE ALAMO (1960). Both cannon are now on display in Old Tucson, AZ.
