I have a copy of CROCKETT'S FIDDLE by Dean Shostak and I recommend it highly. If you enjoyed Billy Bob's violin playing in The Alamo you will love this disc. All the songs are songs Crockett might have played in his lifetime. The last track include THE BALLAD OF DAVY CROCKETT circa 1954. It's a nice touch. The disc runs 47 minutes and is a good addition for any Alamo collector.
And a bit off topic, AlamoGuy asked about a soundtrack from MARTYRS OF THE ALAMO. None was made to my knowledge and I should know, I wrote the score for the DVD. If you like I can put the entire score on a CD and send it to you. It would be my pleasure. Thanks for asking. Michaelalamo

Greg, Just wanted to let you know that Martyrs of the Alamo soundtrack is on it's way to you. I included the entire score and the overture, which didn't make the final cut due to the time constraints of the disc. I hope you enjoy it. Michaelalamo

I have a recent catalogue from an outfit called The Smoke & Fire Company, which sells equipment and such for re-enactors. One of the CD's it offers is "Davy Crockett's Fiddle," by Dean Shostak. Thanks to your recommendation, I'm planning to order it, along with a couple of Revolutionary War-era fife and drum CD's. The web site is www.smoke-fire.com. Rick
