"Strip your blouse, section hand!"
My all-time favorite Civil War movie. (And also one of my top ten John Wayne films.)

I haven't watched this movie in so long, guess it's time for a viewing.

I haven't watched this movie in so long, guess it's time for a viewing. You'll be seeing many familiar faces: Hank Worden Ken Curtis Chuck Hayward Denver Pyle Bill Henry All would be appearing in Wayne's next big effort: THE ALAMO. The scene where the Confederate Military Academy cadets are marching off to meet Wayne's Union forces always gives me the chills. It's just a well-made film, all around. (And wouldn't William Holden have made a great Jim Bowie?)

The one thing about John Wayne movies is, there is always an abundance of familiar faces in the smaller roles.
