Still, what a great area you seem to live in. It's picture postcard beautiful.

Still, what a great area you seem to live in. It's picture postcard beautiful. I agree, it's a very nice place to retire to, no crime a good school. But for a kid, it's too far away from the bigger towns like Kearney and Northplatte so they end up getting in trouble by drinking and driving snd stuff.

During my California visit, I saw a coyote rooting through the trash cans, a couple of hungry raccoons sauntering down the street and, of course, squirrels. Living near the mountains really brings all the wildlife home, especially during the winter season.

That reminds me of the movie "Over The Hedge"! It´s a computer-animated movie about some animals (racoon, squirrel etc.) stealing food from trash cans and people´s houses. The movie is based on the comic strip of the same name...

Another case of art imitating life, I reckon.

Another case of art imitating life, I reckon. Yes, as per usual. Good thing it´s not the other way around... ;D

The bambis around here are quite annoying, and stupid too. Red fox, coyotes (rare), and black bear are a nuisance. My son was rolling out the garbage one dusk and looked over into the next yard and remarked to himself "Gee that's a big dog". More like Yogi Bear and not as funny.
